The first problem I encountered was that the picture I chose
for the background image had the model on the wrong side for the more
conventional Left Third Coverlines. It would have been fine the less
conventional Right Third Coverlines, but as mentioned, they are less
conventional, and usually rare to find. To overcome this problem, I
horizontally flipped the image in Photoshop.
I think I used House Styles effectively; I used the Comic
Sans MS throughout the entire cover, which shows consistency. I also used the
same font colours (Black and White) for the Coverlines, but this did not turn
out so well for all of the Coverlines, as some of the words were hard to read.
I also think I used a Splash effectively to show an offer
included inside, which is relevant to students, because money off of anything
is always good, especially for those who are lower down in their jobs, earning
less.
